A commercial broker for two decades, Mark opened his own company, Corporate Properties Group in 1994, while he attended law school at Seton Hall Law School. After concentrating on industrial and commercial sales for several years, he spent two years practicing law at a downtown Summit, NJ firm, Pfaltz and Woller, where he was of counsel. Concentrating on tax appeals, leases and various Real Estate matters, in addition to estates, wills and trusts, gives him a unique insight into the business.
Since Real Estate is in his blood and his wife Karen has been listing and selling homes in Millburn-Short Hills for over 25 years, he decided to team up with Towne Realty Group, as one of their Brokers amd legal counsel. Managing the lease negotiations, The Real Estate Commission regulations, insurance, trademark requirements, corporate partnerships, and finance, Mark has been a great resource for the company. His expertise allows the other agents to concentrate on what they do best: list and sell homes with Total Transaction Service, a phrase that was coined by Mark as he evaluated the resources of the new company.
A graduate of Wooster College in Ohio, Seton Hall Law and Member of the NJ and NY Bars, one of Mark's most significant connections stem from his days at The Pingry School, where he matriculated for Junior and Senior High School when it was still located in Hillside, NJ. As a past Chairman of his Twenty-Fifth Reunion, where he was recognized for his performance in fund raising for breaking a record of any 25th year reunion class, he was the Alumni Co- Chair for fundraising adn sits on the Alumni Board. He also served on the Board of Trustees for the NJ Historical Society and is a one of the founding Board Members of the Summit Chamber of Commerce,as well as the Downtowners Association. Never one to shy away from a worthy cause, Mark is committed to working in the community and participates in several worthwhile groups.
A lifelong resident of New Jersey with his early roots in Cranford, Mark has lived in Essex or Union County for most of his life. All four of his grandparents made their homes in New Jersey and both of his parents attended High School just miles away in Maplewood and Irvington. Active in politics, supporting various candidates, Mark has a true passion for his homestate and for the Real Estate industry.
